Steve,

No need to apologize, that is what we are here for. The crash pad is the one
piece full width padded part that sits on top of the dash behind the
windshield (windscreen) and holds the defroster vents.

This is in the category of "Just wondering". Anyway, my 66 S3 Coupe' has a crash pad that is in very good condition. It is not cracked and is still flexible. What I am wondering is is there out there someone who could use my pad as a plug to pull a mold from. I would hope that that mold could be used to make copies from material similar to say, the plastic bumper covers used everywhere. If such a person could be located, I would be willing to loan my pad to the effort. Better hurry though, 'cause I'm going to be closing it up RSN (Real Soon Now 8^) )

Stan, Looking for a new pad
