Elan video

I see that Frost are offering a video called The Classic Lotus Elan - a
guide to buying, servicing and modifying. There is also one for the Plus
Two.

I have not come across this video before but it certainly looks interesting.

I have this video. It is a good 2 hours 17 mins worth of Elan.

It kicks off with a history of the Elan, including some footage of
the Elite, Types 18 and 21, different models and construction.

There is then an interesting visit to Paul Matty's, with Paul going
around, over and under an S4 (if I remember correctly), showing what
to look for when buying and running an Elan. This finishes off with
Paul driving a Sprint with the camera as passenger.

Following on is an interview with Ken Snailham at QED, talking about
tuning the twink. Then another interview with Pat Thomas at Kelvedon
to discuss improvements to handling, ending with a visit to Spyder
to look at their chassis and suspension parts.

The video rounds off with a visit to Harewood Hillclimb to see Elans
in action on the hill.

I view it about once a year and it is good entertainment, good value.
