Exhaust System Size

PostPost by: "Bob Layman" » Tue Nov 01, 2005 7:34 pm

Gteetings,

Could someone who has one please give me the O.D. dimension of the
tubing on a TTR big bore exhaust? Both for the primary and secondary
pipes.

Also, I would appreciate seeing the opinions of those who have replaced
rubber suspension bushings with plastic. What brand, material, price,
and observations as to differences in ride, handling, and noise? Were
there any fitting or other problems?

TIA,
Bob Layman (located in USA)

From Stuart at TTR:

Our manifold is in mild steel , no coatings . Primary is 1.625" O.D. ,
secondary is 1.75" O.D. and outlet 2.125" O.D. Fast road system is 2"
O.D. centre pipe / 2" I.D. silencer . Centre pipe is "swaged " to fit to
competition manifold .

Thank you Stuart and Steve. At the rate of progress I am making, it
will be a number of months to getting the engine together. I am
leaning toward a bigger/better exhaust system from the current headers
of 1.375" O.D. primary, 1.5" O.D. secondary, 1.75" O.D center pipe.
The TTR is at the top of the list.
