+ 2 part

PostPost by: rdssdi » Wed Aug 17, 2005 2:57 pm

I am approaching reassembly of my 1969 Elan +2. I now notice that the
transmission "ball end assembly" P/N 050-F-0129 is bent. This is the part that fits
into the transmission and the shift lever attaches to it. The +2 part is of
a larger diameter than the Elan version. It also has a hole through the
threaded portion for a pin.

If anyone has one please let me know.

I found an Elan version but they are not the same.

Thanks

Bob

I am posting this again. Can anyone help me locate this part. I tried the
"usual suspects".

Bob
i was waiting for someone else to respond but here goes..
Surely the part you have should be "bent", mine is?
What diameter of shaft are you after as i did not realise the "baby" and plus 2 were different?

John

Methinks it is out of a Rover P6 (SC2000 and TC2000). If so, there are vendors in Canada, AUS-NZ and in the UK who can help you. US-based spares are slim-pickens over the
counter. --P

I think he is referring to the actual bottom actuator section, it should not be bent, and gets that way by accident etc.
