Differential problem

Well I finally got the rear end of my car apart, and the problem wasn't
bearings. It was the ring bolts that had backed out. None were completely
out, and there were no signs of unusual amounts of metal in the oil, so I
think it will be OK. I am sure I torqued those bolts down well, so any
suggestions to keep them from backing out again?
Since I have everything out I am changing the springs to the stiffer ones I
had in the basement (115lb/in front, 95lb/inch rear) and putting the
adjustable spring perch in the rear. Hopefully I can get everything back
together Saturday and be ready for the next autocross Sunday.

Rob,
I use red locktite on the bolts and no lock-tabs. I've never had one come loose, but i also meticulously clean and de-grease the bolts and internal threads before lockking them in place. I also go around in a crossing patternwhen I torque them.
In your case, I'd replace the bolts.

How about drilling and using a lock-wire?

What do you use for degreasing> Gasoline? Naphtha? Other?
What does everyone else use?
