I ordered a steering column hi/lo beam switch from The Roadster
Factory, I believe is also listed for a TR-6. I found many TR-6
parts for my Elan in The Roadster Factory parts catalog.

And Herald Vitessa range.
The dip main switch is modified so that it is only dip/main. On the
Triumphs it also has a sidelight position.

Thanks to all who replied regarding my temp gauge, got a shiny new one from
holden, the bulb had a hollow bolt rather than a nut to secure it in to the
head, so I had to make an adapter...
Re: the light switch on the steering coulomb, mine has 3 positions, side -
dipped - main, it also has an off - sidelight - headlamp switch on the dash,
how was the coulomb switch modified for two position only?
TIA,

Jo, not sure how it was modified the switch on my car and spare are
both Triumph. I would guess (knowing Lotus) that it is something
simple like an extended stop to prevent the switch selecting the third
position.
I considered modifying the stop on mine but didn't bother ..... too
many other more important prob's to solve!
Someone on the forum will know

Think I once looked at one and it had small metal tag/clip ? somehow
fitted to prevent it going to the other position, my S2 also has the
redundant position as I think the tag/clip falls out and gets lost,I
just dont bother to use that position.
