Dave bean is out of stock on 13" chrome trim rings, I dont have a Sprint, but like the look for my 1970 Elan, S4 SE with knock off wheels. Has anyone installed 13" Chrome trim rings on SE Knock off rims that are $49.95 for a set of 4 ( Triumph Spitfire) Or $49.95 for a set of 4 (VW Rabbit).. Instead of $219.95 for a set of 4 Elan trim rings?? I would love to know if other trim rings will fit.. And if anybody else has done it.
Also looking for a new Speedo cable, Dave Bean is also out of stock on those. Any other speedometer cable that will work?? Triumph, MG ??
As far as other vendors selling parts that will fit and will work for Lotus Elan, I have had good luck with Victoria British in Kansas, If you have their catalogs and part numbers, the website ordering is the BEST and fastest I have ever seen. No salesman to talk to or extension to dial...So much better than Moss or TRF,,,Prices are in line with the others. The Elan fuse box (2 fuses) is the same as TR4A ($13.95) brake switch ($5.95) and connectors ( bullet ends, wire, switches, Bulbs, Bosch spark plugs ($2.95 ea) . Does anyone have a list of Elan parts that are the same as Triumph or MG, as I like paying the Triumph price better. Thanks in advance for any help. Tim Moore
