Hi list,
Apart from elbow grease, can anyone suggest a product that will
efficiently remove 30 year old underseal and paint?
I am trying to clean up the dust shield from the rear suspension and A
frames. My shotblaster guy tells me the material is too thin to shotblast.
I've tried nitromors and it doesn't seem to touch it.
Regards
Jeff

Jeff,

I just finished removing underseal from my engine bay (yes... engine bay!)
and found that
Acetone and a paint-scraper worked well. Just be careful when you get down
to the gel-coat.
Good luck - its gonna be a horrible job......

If you're gonna use acetone or even laquer thinner, which I've done, do it outside with plenty of ventilation. Not good stuff for your health.
