Lotus Elan

Was QED head: Now Boggspeed et al.

I've got a Phoenix, or Clubmans, whichever your prefer. Ex-750MC Class A Kit Car championship, but now running on twin webers (Class A only used to allow single carbs).

No Elan at the moment, unfortunately, which is why I only tend to lurk in the background on this list these days.

Went through an Elise, which I loved but the girlfriend hated, so traded it in for my other current sportscar, a TVR Griffith 500, why the girlfriend likes but I hate.

Thinking about trading in the girlfriend shortly and going back to Lotus. Any offers?

Martin

Sylva!! I have a Sylva as well - a Stylus with a crossflow, which was also
set up at Bogg's.

I have found it to be excellent, a true sports car, and am consistently
annoyed when it is referred to as a "kit car"!

What Sylva have you?

David (+,2 Sylva Stylus)

John,

On mature reflection, I don't think it would be right of me to try and palmthe girlfriend off on a fellow Lotus enthusiast. I usally feel better palming off old bangers and anything with known or dangerous faults on a dealer!

Both the Sylva and the Girlfriend are garaged in Leeds, but I'm almost Derbyshire myself these days (technically North West Leicestershire, on the outskirts of Ashby de la Zouch).

If you fancy a pint one evening when the weather has picked up a bit, give me a shout.

Martin

Yep, about 15 minutes from Donington. Unfortunately, the aforementioned girlfriend was with me for the weekend, so it wasn't politic for me to pay a visit to the Lotus Show this year.
