of a really sad lotus anorak........you know its getting bad when
you're watching a program and spot one and sit up just to make sure
it was a lotus and to find out which model it was/is......especially
when its a program called 'open all hours' (a UK sit com).....anyway
it was a burnt yellow +2s.....i say +2s as the colour gives it away
unless the owner had changed the colour.......you see there I go
again....it is getting very very sad....I just cant seem to help it
though

A bit of a late reply but Open All Hours was filmed just outside
Doncaster, South Yorkshire which as far as I know has zero connection
with Lotus (Fords and Jowetts were produced there for a while) . Did
you manage to get the registration number Gareth as the car may still
be around?

I haven't seen a Lotus on it yet, although there is a fine "Old Weird Herald" drop-head, but where in Yorkshire is "Last of Summer Wine" shot. It comes on locally just before the "Red-Green show", Uncle Bill (keep yer stick on the ice).

Around Holmfirth (not far from Huddersfield) - people apparently
travel on special coach trips just to see the outside of Norah Batty's
residence. The roads nearby are good fun in an Elan on a quiet
weekday when the tourist hordes are absent.
