Gareth,

You missed an opportunity. How about:

If I remember correctly, IIRC stands for International I(something) Race of
Champions.

IRC = International Race of Champions

Equal cars given to name drivers from all types of racing to see
which driver was best. Originally used Porsches, then later Camaros
(cheaper to build).

Don't know if this is still being run.

IROC = I remember, of course.

Yes, I was playing with the acronym IROC - just playing.

I'm still using the original electrons that came with the car. Lucas
brand, I think. Those replacement electrons (from Dave Bean, for
example) just aren't right; you lose authenticity if you put in the new
stuff.

Can we call you Uncle Bill? As long as you've got a K car around back held together w/ silver tape and you can keep yer stick on the ice, yer not "tooold".

You've just got to watch these slick Willy types who try to sneak in "original" Hethel air in an otherwise perfect Cheshunt made car. Ha Ha, LOL.

No K car but a 73 V Dub van to suit my personna and a WRX for the family
hauler - wifes about town car. Lots of duct tape, no suspenders.

We just had 20 in of snow, the power is finally back on and its time to try
to dig out. This isn't supposed to happen here!

Keep your stick on the ice boys - in my case today it will be the shovel.

Gents, just noted an Elan 1600 (S1 - S2) workshop manual on UK ebay @5
pounds and 5 days to go. There has been recent list discussions that point
out the necessity of the early Elan manual for restoration purposes. I
bought one with my 1600 in 1963 and it is my bible. If anyone out there
needs help in their resto or maintenance go after it - it is invaluable!!!

Good luck - AND - Keep your stick on the ice!

Uncle Bill
