Lotus Elan

Jim Clark - Elan

Paul,

I'm afraid I don't know what happened to the car, but I looked at the
Crombac website and was intrigued... you can just see the steering wheel
on the right hand side as is the driver's mirror. However the wipers are
parked to the left.
Is this a hybrid of some sort?

That is just how my S4 is. RHD with wipers parked to the left. Typical
Lotus they just fitted what they had in stock at the time :-)

Just checked out the web site as well. You missed the obvious one! The
whole engine bay is the wrong way round! Looks like they mirrored the
photos.

The car is definitely left hand drive (see p162 of the Classic and Sportscar
Nov 1995 feature). It looks like the pics were printed the wrong way round
as the engine bay pic is wrong too.
