Mick Miller Drive Shafts

Hi All,
Flushed with success having fitted my screen..... Phew! My thoughts
return to driveshafts. I know it's an old well worn subject but I
have a specific question.
Any experiences of fitting/using Mick Miller CV-Joint
shafts? ....specifically the Miller ones, not other solutions. I
know quite a few Elans are now dumping the donuts. (Should that be
dunkin' the donuts? )
Thanks
John

I fitted these to my Sprint last Spring when changing the chassis (and suspension, now Spyder twin wishbone), fitted in easily, work great.

I have them on my +2 and S3 Elan, they fit easily and work well. I have
done about 30,000 combined miles with no problems. If you want
reliability and safety it?s the only way to go.

I did a survey of all the drive shafts conversions and came to the
conclusion that the Mick Miller one's were the preferred option.
However, they are rather expensive for a relatively simple conversion, so I
am looking at making my own. I have calculated the dimensions and have
obtained a number of MK2 VW golf (rabbit?) 100mm CV's. I started looking
into finding a supplier to machine the shafts but have recently been
sidetracked with stripping the paint from the car.
The golf driveshaft from one side could be shortened, and I have found a
motorsport company who will friction weld a new spline stub onto one end of
the original shaft and guarantee the result.

Hi John,
I have the Mick Miller CV set up on my +2, a great improvment. I'd
hate to go back to donuts.
