Lotus Elan

Fiberglass Tissue

PostPost by: brassrngfm at aol.com » Fri Oct 22, 2004 12:32 am

All - I'm moving to Switzerland and have a few square meters of tissue that
I'd be glad to give away. I bought a new body from Tony Thompson after deciding
my old one was beyond repair. I used some of it for my old doors and boot lid
but 90% is left. You pay the shipping and I'll mail it to you.

Hi,

I would be interested in it if you could arrange shipping to the UK, as it
looks like I will need more than I originally planned!

Thanks in advance.

David

David,
I don't know how much shipping is from the US. but Wilsons in Portsmouth
(02392 384921) sell it for ?1.30 per meter, or have a look in the yellow
pages for a local supplier

No connection etc.

I know postage is a bit cheaper US-UK but is it really worth it?

http://www.cfsnet.co.uk/acatalog/CFS_Ca ... ue_40.html

10 Square Metre Roll Surface Tissue 30gm GBP7.50 +vat +postage (around
the same again)

Plus you can get nice cheap resin and all the other bits you need at
the same time

No connection with cfs etc other than a happy customer

Thanks.

I brought my original supplies from CFS and found them to be very helpful.

Paul, unless you work for a courier, I guess it will not be worth the
effort!

However, it does not look like I need to worry much about removing the paint
from the car; by the time I have ground out the cracks, there will not be
much paint left!
