Going after the builder in small claims court has been considered. Unfortunately, I have discovered that he has done this to another individual while in his employ. That business owner has a much bigger case to pursue.
I trusted someone I should not have.
I will be replacing what is left of the Tran-X internals with a new Quaife gearset.

Hi,
TransX was sold to Quaife but then TransX restarted as 3J Driveline which are based at Bayton Road Industrial Estate Coventry.
I use 3J Driveline and have always been excellent and I like the fact they supply the gearset and build the box, so there is no blame game.
They have the same address as Longford Gear Cutters:
3J Driveline Ltd, Island Works, Bayton Road, Exhall, Coventry, CV7 9EL
Tel: 01926 854119
Regards
Steve

Steve,
Thanks for this information. Perhaps I can get the gearset back in working order.
Appreciate the heads up.
Cheers
