Starting Racing

I am an overweight geriatric who started racing in June 2002 in the Historic Road Sports class of the HSCC. My S4 dhc has been a perfect tool for an enthusiastic novice who has reached an age when he should know better.

If I can be of any help to anyone who is thinking of racing an Elan in Historic circles, having recently been through it all myself, please get in touch.

Hi Fitz,
What have you done to your car? or I guess more important what haven't you done!

Hi Fitz

Glad to see another person using his Elan seriously -- on the race track. In Australia these days you cant really enjoy it on the road without attracting to much police attention ! I have been racing my Elan for 20 odd years now and always interested in what other do to their cars in search of competitive performance. Let us know what you have done, to engine, suspension, safety etc .
