Pau Motor Festival

Also known as the Pau Historic Grand prix, held in Pau, SW France - it is a mini Goodwood Revival type of week, but much smaller, friendlier and less crowded...

Anyway, just a note for 26R owners - a very well turned out 26R won the pre 1966 endurance cup yesterday, beating a bevvy of 'Cobras', Healy 3000s, Alfas, Lotus Cortinas, Porsches Triumphs and a lone Lotus 7 (that, despite being a sprint car, was shoved in the endurance car class because he was the only 7 entrant...)

Just to rub it in, the 26R allowed a 'Cobra' and the 7 to pip him into third place on the first race, then on the second race, he allowed the 7 to pip him into second place, but on the third and final race, he nailed it from the start and saw them all off! Some superb driving (I think he is semi professional) showing the Elan road holding to the full.
