Jerry,
Thank you for the info. Your car is looking outstanding. I'd love to see more pics. The last time I saw it, it was yellow and blue. Is that a silver or a metallic gray now?
I think we're both doing some traveling so I'll PM you in a couple of weeks.

Also, I believe you are still bike riding. Did you just do a charity rife recently? If so, were you looking to raise a certain amount of $$$'s. If that was you, I wasn't sure who it was. If it was you, I'd like to make a donation.

Steve, Jerry and Everyone,
Thank you for all of your assistance, guidance, and well wishes.
My new ( to me ) Lotus Elan 26R is home!
I ended up driving the 5300 miles to California with just my small 5' x 10' utility trailer (with the ramp removed) instead of the 22' Featherlight. It was a good move as there were some places I would not have been able to maneuver a 22' trailer. And I learned alot. PODS and other similar shipping companies don't support the zip code where the vehicle was located. Transporters would not have picked up a car in pieces that didn't roll. Semi trucks could not have driven on the narrow roads. Some containers were not long enough. Either way, just going to get it was the right choice. It's home safe! 8 days of driving and almost 3 days of visiting. What a vacation!
And, because of everyone's assistance, it fit the trailer with and inch to spare. Now the real journey begins!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
