modsports front

Hi all

I am rebuilding a modsports car to a Donnington GT spec. I have the original one piece nose section which fits fine but lacks elegance.
I am looking for someone in the UK with a mould of a more symapathetic solution and wondered if anyone knows a person who could assist.

Many thanks
Gavin

Not absolutely certain he can help but why not give Dave Hughes (bigvalvehead) a shout I know he has some moulds and can make sections

That's harsh but I take your point

Gino
Running a modsports rebuild project in the UK from Italy - that's impressive.
I'd love to see where you are with the project. Are you running a blog?
Thanks
Gavin

Hi Gavin,

This is the original car made in the 80's that completed in the 1000Km races that Max Payne and Chris Ashmore drove. The original 801.
This is an epic build and only thanks to Derek Matthews and obvioulsy the engineers and bodywork specialist that we are able to make this happen.
I'll be posting some pics soon.

Hi Steve..Yes ...
lots but unfortunately due to damage and wear need to be changed...even the bodywork and been reproduced to have moulds to eventually produce spares although some of the original bodywork has been kept.

Has the chassis been widened to fit the gearbox alongside the driver or are you running a transaxle instead ?

This project is a fantastic piece of engineering, with some of the very best people involved.
I know I have met them. Thanks very much Derek, Gino, Dave and Nick for letting me have a peek.

Doug.
