Dunno - but there's a lot of backroom bargaining. A forum member had an RFI spark plug cover that I bid on and which ended suddenly. Conversely I expressed interest in an item to somebody and it was put on eBay before I finalised the sale and was then removed.
IMHO the high eBay fees, and rarity of course, are responsible for these manoeuvres.

That's been for sale for a year or so now, but the last time I saw it the price was $85k.....and it's missing a lot of the impossible-to-find original stuff.
No tooth fairy either!
Some sort of scam I guess as the listing has completely disappeared now.

I reported it to the current sellers of the car North Shore Sports Cars & Norbert Bries had the eBay item removed.

Another seller that won't put in the price. No price....no call.
Another favorite is "make an offer"........what is that? Just put the price.
Is it a mystery?
