Anyone else going to Aintree tomorrow? Looks like there may be a gap in the current downpours for a few hours.

I bought my Sprint from Dave Hampton, he sold his other (S3 racing) Elan a couple of years ago and now runs this 69 F/Atlantic car; he's dropped a 2ltr BDG in it for this season.

This Elan is presented in fabulous condition, seems to be a mix of styles and should really run some wider rear wheels and tyres. I first saw it about five years ago and was impressed by the clever cooling system, which incorporates the best bits from the Renault 5 (my first new car, back in '73).

Rewind back to '74... anyone got info on this car?

The road surface is about 9" higher than it was then.
Same corner. different angle.
