Could any one tell me the best way to mount a 4 point harness in a +2?

If this is for racing, use a six-point harness and mount it to your roll cage. I'm sure there are tech specs that will tell you what is required.

It's for sprinting, no roll cage, standard seats.

Ahhh. Then I'll betray my ignorance of the +2 and throw out a suggestion or two that will probably fall flat:

Is the DS rear seatback easily removable? If so, can you join the shoulder harness anchor points at the body/chassis upright point by using a longer grade 8 bolt? For sprinting, wouldn't you want to lighten the car anyway by taking out the unused seats?

Or, could you find a mounting point (or drill and fab in a bobbin) on the floor under the rear seat cushion, and again use the harness with the cushion removed or store it under the cushion when not in use?

Okay, I've hereby exhausted my baseless speculations. Good luck.

Just trying to think outside the box. Easy to do when you have no specific knowledge or facts to restrain you! :D

Here's a pic of how I mounted the 4 point harness. The rear seat has been removed, and an aluminium fire wall fitted. The harness lugs are welded to a 1" box section welded to the roll-bar rear legs, which is bolted to the rear towers using the original bolt positions. You could fit mounting lugs directly to the rear tower bolts, they are reasonably positioned.

You will need a seat which has belt openings or head restraint to keep the shoulder straps in position.

I orginally had a single mount for the shoulder straps, but regulations here require each shoulder strap to be individually mounted.

Here's how we're doing the mounts on my Series 2 (not a Plus 2 but the principles are the same). The yellow lines show the extra tube that will be welded in with welded in sleeves to take the bolts for the harnesses. The angle of the harnesses will be the same for both straps and within the permitted 20 degrees, but the picture doesn't show that!
