Who are you to say it's not a Shapecraft
This is a strong case for Debate.

I presume it had just turned up there to tow the Land Rover back Home
In any case the Driver is/was definitely long sighted considering the position of the rear view Mirrors & the wheel arches are a worthy addition to the good, bad & the ugly thread.

Beer & Crisps at the ready!
Cheers

Andy,
Didn't realise you were on here, I nicked your photo from TNF.

What's the story with the car?

Hi Pete

There are more details of the car on page 4 of the Racing section under the heading Elan race history. I have got many photos, race programes and Autosport with the car mentioned in race reports. Unfortunately Brian Sherwood died in a road accident in 1969 and so I have been unable to unearth what happened to the car between 1967 and the late 1990s. I have met the mechanic who built the fastback, it was made on a chicken wire former. The fastback to me was more sleeker looking than the Shapecraft but the wheel arches were plain ugly.

regards

Andy

Apologies for the duplication of subject.
