And now for something completely different.....

If I was to alter the carburation on my Twink by removing the throttle stop screws and idle air bleed valves and replace them with little holes drilled in the butterflys,what diameter holes would I need to give a nice small/smooth tickover.....?
I say this because I've converted to EFI and am having problems matching the butterflys at tickover as there are no idle stops or idle screws available on the throttle bodies I am using...

I suppose one way would be to start off with tiny and then progressively enlarge them until I have achieved my goal? (the fuel can be regulated in millisecond steps-so have no problems with achieving the desired air/fuel ratio)

John - a long shot - but you might want to do a search for Keith Frank's old posts under "type26owner" as I recall that he was drilling minute holes in his air correction circuit, on his old DCOE's. Although not exactly the same as what you're after, it may give some pointers.

his experience seemed to be positive, althought it involved a lot of fiddling about!
