Here it is in '87, still with Malcolm, pictured in an article in the now defunct Sports Car Monthly.

Can you tell me which issue of Sports Car Monthly that was in, please? I would like to find a copy.

Th Howcraft Elan is the first "really developed" one that I can recall in rallying in the UK. Of course I am usually wrong.

So sorry Ed.

So how about "cheater fenders" under "other info"?

Any better?

The car was not a 26R but highly modified specifically for rallying.

Dave

There is no vehicle currently registered on this number in the UK.
Where has it gone, what has it become?
Will it assume a 26/R chassis number?
If this is the case; it is always best to appropriate one which is not attached to a high profile car.

Been really busy since I got back and totally forgot.
So here we go Ed.

This is an old document so I will explain it for you.

First column is chassis no. In this case 26-S2-33 this is the correct configuration for the S2 26R cars. No R anywhere in the chassis no.

next column is the customer. In this case it was the 1966 Racing Car Show, Show car.

Engine was a 1600 T/C BRM ph2 type. No engine no is listed on this particular car.

Gearbox is C/R 4 speed

Car was Red

had a 3.9 LSD and a long range tank.

Now this is one line from the list I and others have a copy of. Your car is not this one as you say that it raced before this car was actually built.

I hope this satisfies you and as far as I am concerned I will not enter into any future "discussions" re 26-S2-33

Have a nice day

Dave

piss-ant; a very wise decision you took when you deleted your ridiculous post from this slot. Unfortunately for you quite a few folks saw it, in the 12 or so hours that it was here and sent me PMs.

You called me a Troll, yet it is you who posts under two separate identities, threatens to change thread titles and exhorts people to remove/change responses to a thread that you created.

Can I suggest that you divest yourself of the piss-ant identity and attitude and post only as Gary Anderson in future?
