Hi

Does anyone know the additional clearance which is achieved when standard arches are replaced by 26 arches please.

Also, what wheel and tyre combinations are generally used on racing 26Rs

Thanks
Gavin

FRONT IS ABOUT 3/4 INCH AND REAR ABOUT 2 INCHES with a coke bottle shape from the rear of the door ---WHEELS ARE 6 X 13 --tire to fender is 3/4 of an inch but the move ment is all inside the flare ---pic here shows front unladen for winter storage ---ed

there are also inner fender well blisters you can do - I did the inner only on a car thinking I might run a narrow arch s1 at some point in time.

I also have one with the ubiquitius 26R S2 fenders. these will accomodate a 6" wheel and the 26R hubs - 7X22x13 tires are no problem

I am thinking the inners only will take a 5.5 inch with extra offset and small springs but have not gotten there yet . I also want to say that sombody on the site may have stuck 6" wheels on with the inners only .

Hi Ed -

It was described by those who saw as more like a pirouette......and it was the yellow one....I have the body structure back in place, and have removed some more weight from the car in the process. When repainted the car will move closer to the color scheme it ran in period ( minus the lebatt beer logo's.)
