Had a nice selection in our garage this year :D

Also a really interesting Europa was there modified for racing in 1975 in Australia by John Joyce who worked on the Lotus 47 and other Lotus race cars of the period. He designed and built Bowin race cars after he left Lotus and came back to Australia

A few Photos of the Elan on the track. It was wet on the Friday which is not much fun with zero visibility at the start of the race and into turn 1 and the high speed sweepers a challenge but it fined up on Saturday and Sunday and I got my head around it better then :D

cheers
Rohan

Nice photo's Rohan.

It looks a nice challenging circuit with some blind crests, must be very satisfying to nail a lap there. 8)
Kindest regards

Yes it has a huge variation in corners from a 160 kph bend off the main straight to hard stops from 150 kph to 60 for a hairpin to a fast sweeper over a blind hill to a hard braking RH corner at the bottom. Those lucky enough to have raced all around the world rate it as one of the best tracks in the world. Many of the Moto GP guys think it is the best and most challenging track on their world circuit.

In the dry I find it hugely challenging and a little to quick for old guys in old cars but like you say satisfying when you do a lap right. In the wet it is just plain scary.

Feels like the weather improved over the course of the weekend after Friday's wet, dry and wet again lottery?
