Engine weight

What is the weight of the engine and transmission in an Elan Sprint? I need to hire a small crane set-up and must be sure it is the correct capacity.

To know the lifting points will also be useful.

I used a 1 ton folding hydraulic jobbie, not sure if it was a Clarke or Sealey one, they all seem to be pretty much the same, however the forward legs just about fit between antiroll bar/shockabsorber mounts and you may have probs in this area with a "baby" Elan. My advice would be a block and tackle and a static frame work. This how I intend to re fit my engine. Also the hydraulic effort didnt lift that high and needed manual assistance to get over the nose cone!

hope this helps
