Crossflow/Tall block measurement

If anyone has one lying around, I'd be grateful for the measurement between the engine mounting faces.
This would need to be a measurement taken vertically between the faces.

Thanks Rohan,
I'm fitting a tall block engine into my Sprint, which has an early tubular Spyder chassis.
The tall block is wider between the engine mounting faces than the lotus block, so I
need to modify the engine mounts.
I took measurements before my engine went away for final build, so was looking for
someone to help with a "double check" on the dimension.
Much appreciated.

Rohan,
Just checked my records, and I have 212mm as the measurement for the Lotus pre-crossflow (L type) block.
I'm after the measurement for the later crossflow (or tall ) block.

is that into a +0 or +2 ?
and into a Lotus/spyder chassis ?

Should make no difference wether +0 or +2,spyder or lotus,difference betwen L block and "tall" block..

I searched for "711 block spacer" and found this

I measured 8 3/4 inch with a tape today, thats 222.25mm, close enough to what Brian said before.I guess I would make new exhaust side spacers 18 or 19mm long.

The 711 block (1600) is wider at the mounting points then the Lotus
block (1500 Ford) the 711 being approx 223mm wide while the 1500 is
approx 212mm thus it follows that you must reduce the spacers by the
same amount (11mm) I cannot tell you if the additional amount is on
both sides or just one side of the block but when I have done the
tall block conversion I have just reduced the spacer thickness.
I cannot remember what the original spacer thickness is but others
have commented it is 1.1/8" if this is correct just make four
spacers that are 1.1/8" minus 11mm (sorry I cant be bothered to do
the inch to mm maths)

Rohan,
Thank goodness you said that as I had a 1700 engine (681 on 83.5 pistons) which just popped straight in. No change to the spacers. I don't have access to that block so I couldn't measure it but I was beginning to wonder why so many people needed to alter their spacers.
