Re: Plus 2 Pedal Box Reinforcment Plate Template

My car already had a plate similar to yours installed, though not quite as robust, as shown in the parts list. In addition to adding a thin layer of honeycomb like material to that whole mounting area, I fabricated the column/pedal box brace that Foxie provided the drawings for here on the forum. Co...

Re: Plus 2 pedal box position- measurments needed

Sorry Matt I just saw this. These measurements are the top most corners, not the base and are from a LHD car. Rear corner nearest the wing, 7-7/8" to the bulkhead, 1 1/4" to the inner wing. Front corner furthest from the wing, 8" to the bulkhead. Front corner nearest the wing, 3/4&quo...

Re: Parts list

So the printed versions have more complete/detailed illustrations than the online versions. Didn't know that. Thanks

Re: Parts list

Is there any real advantage to those over the online parts lists posted here in the WIKI or at rdent.com? Well, other than having your own historic document.

Re: Two speed heater-getting it to work!

It sounds like you've done a lot of troubleshooting already. For your two-speed heater fan, ensure the heater box and resistor are properly grounded as this can affect functionality. The resistor should control the current to the motor, so a good ground connection is essential. Check all connection...

Re: Front wheel arch liner/protection

Partial quote: It really is excellent stuff and not too dear - lots of offers on Ebay, 6 litres for £40 or so. After I saw the great looking results, I jumped on-line to order a few litres only to find out that here, it's a tad more dear here than in the UK. On eBay, Amazon, and the like, it's the ...

Re: +2 Rear struts - hubs

I'll agree with the springs and hub part, but the Hub/Damper Assy, etc. changed to the 050 series parts commencing with chassis #7762. There are numerous 050 parts used in the later elans and 026 and 036 parts used in the +2. Remember who built these.

Re: +2 Rear struts - hubs

A quick check of the parts manuals show that they have the same part numbers as the +2. There's a lot of overlap between the two and the parts lists in the WIKI is a good place to start.

Re: S130 Failsafe Headlamps adjust

Both up and down stops are adjustable. The rubber covers on the bolt heads wear over time, disintegrate, and may be missing. The bolts are poorly shown as item #30 in the parts list ( https://lotuselan.net/wiki/BN_-_Body_-_Headlamp_Vacuum_%2B2 ) and the covers aren't shown at all. After the pod trav...
